Storyline

Ter ere van het 50-jarig jubileum van Francis Ford Coppola’s meesterwerk The Godfather brengt Paramount de film tijdelijk terug op het grote doek. Coppola’s meesterlijke verfilming van het boek van Mario Puzo beschrijft de opkomst en ondergang van de familie Corleone en wordt terecht gezien als een van de belangrijkste filmtrilogieën uit de filmgeschiedenis. In aanloop naar het 50-jarig jubileum van de oorspronkelijke release van de eerste film op 24 maart 1972 besloten Paramount en Coppola’s productiebedrijf American Zoetrope alle drie de films in een tijdsbestek van drie jaar nauwgezet te restaureren.
