After Oppenheimer:

The Atomic Café (1982)

Hoezo in KINO

Now that most of you have experienced Nolan’s latest, we might interest you in this intriguing and downright scary 1982 documentary consisting entirely of archival footage about the events unfolding after the Trinity test. The film combines military propaganda, atomic test footage and the ridiculous “duck and cover” PSA’s into a baffling chronicle of the recent nuclear age. The film starts where Oppenheimer left off (sort of), with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and quickly becomes the nightmare of nuclear escalation the brilliant scientist feared all along. Essential viewing and shown exclusively in KINO. Don’t miss out. English language without subtitles.
