Anime fans rejoice! KINO is teaming up with Kaboom Animation Festival and De Melkweg for a monthly series showcasing the best animated Japanese classics and more recent titles that deserve the biggest of screens. There’s a special place in our hearts for these animes, some of which we rented from import (and even bootleg) VHS tapes back in the day and we’re excited to partner with Kaboom to exhibit these beautifully crafted animations every third Wednesday of the month.

Storyline

After witnessing the suicide bombing of a terrorist girl, Constable Kazuki Fuse becomes haunted by her image, and is forced to undergo retraining for his position in the Capital Police’s Special Unit. However, unknown to him, he becomes a key player in a dispute between Capital and Local Police forces, as he finds himself increasingly involved with the sister of the very girl he saw die.
