Stop Making Sense (1984) – 40th anniversary

In addition to being a master of the fiction genre, Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the LambsPhiladelphia) was also one of the most skilled music concert directors. His most famous and perhaps best work was with the Talking Heads and his registration of the Stop Making Sense tour. A show that lends itself extremely well to a cinematic reappraisal: from Byrne’s solo performance of Psycho Killer to the exuberant Once in a Lifetime. A masterpiece. Dancing is allowed in the screening room and to get you in the mood tickets include a This Must be the Cocktail. We will also make sure there’s a bar in the screening room, so you won’t have to miss any of the hits. Get yours!
