Special Nicolas Cage

Wild at Heart (1990)

Hoezo in KINO

David Lynch’s twisted love story about Sailor (Cage) and Lula (Dern) hounded by increasingly weird characters hired by Lula’s mom to off her daughter’s new hubby, ages like a fine wine. Cage’s regular dependence on method acting was thwarted by Lynch’s constant on-set rewrites so Cage kept it loose which greatly benefits his performance, here. Cage brought his own snakeskin jacket (as you do) to set as a tribute to Marlon Brando’s character in The Fugitive Kind and naturally, Cage does all of his own singing in this film. English language without subtitles.
