Hoezo in KINO

Time for pulp! Remember, it was 1992 and we only wanted one thing: to play Street Fighter II! Ryu, E. Honda, Chun-Li, and Dhalsim had a huge impact on the gaming world: fighting games would never be the same again. In 1994, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, directed by Gisaburō Sugii, was released. The plot revolves around the intense rivalry between street fighters Ryu and Ken and their confrontation with the evil M. Bison, who is looking for the best fighter in the world. The film was censored in Japan and the United States at the time, but can now finally be seen in an uncensored version. Ready? Fight! Japanese language with English subtitles.

All films will be introduced by Noa Mac Donald. She is a 2D animator and mixed media artist based in Rotterdam and has worked as a reviewer for the Kaboom Animation Festival for the last three years and is a connoisseur of obscure animation.
