Starting April 4th just in time for its 45th anniversary, a brand spankin’ new restoration of Hayao Miyazaki’s 1979 first full-length feature returns to the big screen. Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro is a rip roaring adventure caper with plenty of humour, action and early onset of Miyazaki themes he would explore and develop in later features. The film is presented in Japanese language with English subtitles.

Storyline

After a successful robbery leaves famed thief Lupin the Third and his partner Jigen with nothing but a large amount of expertly crafted counterfeit bills, he decides to track down the forgers responsible—and steal any other treasures he may find in the Castle of Cagliostro, including the ‘damsel in distress’ he finds imprisoned there.
