Emily the Criminal

Hoezo in KINO

First time director John Patton Ford delivers a suspenseful crime thriller and shows what happens when Emily, who’s down on her luck career wise and saddled with a huge student loan debt, takes the Breaking Bad-route, and takes matters into her own hands. With a great performance by Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus, Parks and Rec), who once again proves she has a bigger range than just comedic roles. A little indie crime drama that feels relatable, realistic, and filled with social commentary on the American Dream. Definitely worth to be seen on the big screen.
