KINO special: Dìdi 弟弟

We’re thrilled to screen this gem of a movie in KINO. The semi-autobiographical debut Dìdi (‘little brother’ in Mandarin) by Sean Wang is a beautiful and fresh Asian-American coming of age story that steers away from the usual clichés. Wang delves into themes of identity and growing up while focussing on the challenges faced by immigrant parents and their children in a charming and humorous manner. It also left us with a sense of nostalgia for the year 2008! Not to be missed, and if you need further convincing; it proudly holds a 4-star rating on Letterboxd.
