The Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (ENFF), which annually showcases the best and most relevant films from Eastern Europe in The Hague, is going on tour — and will also stop by KINO. On Thursday, October 2nd, it will present the Dutch premiere of the feature film Caravan by Zuzana Kirchnerová. In this poetic yet raw road movie, first shown in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, a burnt out mother embarks on a journey through Italy with her intellectually disabled son. While he wrestles with the surge of adolescence, she confronts patriarchal motherhood ideals with quiet rebellion and an irrepressible lust for life.
