Every self-respecting retrospective should include a psychedelic comedy about a magical cat sporting sunglasses, so naturally we’ve included the fabulous When the Cat Comes in ours. When a band of magicians and circus folk come to a small town, they bring along a cat that once relieved from his eyewear, turns people into colours that represent their moral character. Chaos ensues as this playful moral tale juxtaposes free thinking art with authoritarianism as the village children rebel against the morally bankrupt adults. Czech language with English subtitles.
