Hoezo in KINO

The age old ‘nature / nurture’ conundrum is presented here in the most ambivalent of ways as a reluctant mother (a perfectly cast, cautious Tilda Swinton) rears a truly wicked son (again, dead-on casting with Ezra Miller, who turned out to be more like the character in real life than anyone cared for) that seems hellbent on making everyone around him fear for their wellbeing. Ramsay produces a colour coded cinematic experience, laden with foreboding and perturbation that perpulses towards the inevitable climax with masterful precision.
