These screenings feature hybrid and experimental works and trailers by WdKA graduates that explore new forms of storytelling. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the makers, moderated by visual artist & WdKA alumna Chiara Pastoor.

Storyline

  • Rotterdam Quest: The Realm of The Seven Winds by Mila Paparizova. Game trailer. A mobile fantasy AR exploration game of Rotterdam aiming to help people on the journey of belonging. Advisory age: 16+.
  • Silk Dreams by Robben Fuhler. Short film. Young aspiring filmmaker reluctantly directs commercial for an artificial flower company.
  • Synthesis by Julie Chirtes. A performance trailer navigating the uncanny space between human and machine creativity. Trigger warnings: flashing lights. Advisory age: 16+.
  • Warning Signs by Maria Dubec. A short film presenting what it feels like to see danger everywhere with the use of nature inspired, digital masks. Advisory age: 9+.
  • License to Kill by Pablo Teijeiro Fokkema. Short film to let meat eaters, you and i, be amazed by the oddities of the way we deal with killing and eating animals. Trigger warning: graphic images, slaughter of animals. Advisory age: 16+.
