Discover original fiction films, trailers, and works in progress by WdKA graduates across different graduation profiles. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the makers, moderated by filmmaker & WdKA alumna Ashley Röttjers.

Storyline

  • Tuinhuis by Finn van den Ijssel. Short film. A young and overly ambitious fashion designer meets the squatter of his garden shed and the limits of his own body.
  • Stuck Anywhere but Here by Femke Hemelaar. Short film. Living on a circus fairground, Juliette has to obtain the attention of her parents in order to save them from drowning in their past and future, while trying to stay mindful herself to perform the perfect trick. If she manages to perform this trick, she might win her parents attention, if not, it could lead to a fatal end. Trigger warnings: flashing lights.
  • Raw Love by Pascal Haring. Short film. In an empty restaurant kitchen, a cocky wannabe chef finds himself talking to a raw piece of chicken. A twisted romance between them emerges. Trigger warnings: contains images of sexual nature. Advisory age: 16+.
  • Cult of Guilt and the Saint of Shame by Dyno Fanoy. Driven by the believe that something is fundamentally wrong with them, two friends perform a ritual to fix themselves. Advisory age: 9+.
  • A Nothing Object by Sijia Yu. Short film. A mime actor who believes himself has an invisible gun walks around inside the train carriages. A woman notices the gun and tries to dismantle his power. Trigger warning: This film contains themes of emotional distress and self-harm. Advisory age: 16+.
  • The Smiling Man by Larissa Huijzer. Short film. A middle aged jester trapped in routine slowly loses himself as the line between performance and reality begins to blur. Advisory age: 16+.
