Hoezo in KINO

“Y’know, kid… you got a helluva knack for killin’ a conversation.” Hal Ashby’s acerbic buddy comedy had all the Vietnam fueled fatalism of the early 1970s front loaded into a Robert Towne written, curse-riddled script. Nicholson plays a sailor called Buddusky who’s buddy and he are sent on a detail to bring in a sad sack of a cadet (beautifully played by Randy Quaid) facing eight years of hard time for theft. The film is filled with debauchery, misguided frustration and truly tender moments, only prime Ashby could provide. English language without subtitles.
