Hoezo in KINO

With The Austrian Oak at peak power and Jim Cameron eager to expand his lore on Skynet’s ploy for ending humanity, it was time to bring out the big guns, and they don’t come any bigger than Schwarzenegger’s. The sequel to the 1984 sleeper hit original, still holds up magnificently as an all time action masterpiece: lean, tense yet quotably funny and so absolutely packed to the rafters with mind-boggling and kinetic action sequences, it’s hard to choose a favourite (ours is 100% the dirt-bike chase). It quite frankly has it all, and that includes a screeching Guns ’n Roses theme song. T2 was a global mono-culture hit but unfortunately we were too young and babyfaced to get into the cinema back in ’91, but that only adds to the current joy of bringing it back to our own big screen, starting September 3rd. English (and sporadic Spanish) language with Dutch subtitles.
