“That’s funny, that plane’s dustin’ crops where there ain’t no crops...” The 70mm VistaVision festivities continue with a brand spanking new print of Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic proto-007 secret agent mystery, North by Northwest. The film sports a head scratcher of a plot (later copied in From Russia with Love  and Live and Let Die), elaborate set-pieces and the exciting adventures of a suave if somewhat baffled leading man embodied with oodles of charm by the singular Cary Grant. Simply put, it doesn’t get any more Golden Age Hollywood hijinx than this. For its 65th birthday, we’re very excited to screen this classic of classics on a gorgeous 70mm print on our biggest screen for some uncut vintage escapism. English language without subtitles.
