The ‘private dick takes a case and gets in way over his head’ ploy is rolled out expertly when a teenage girl (Melanie Griffith’s debut) in need of finding, unravels a much larger mystery thread of illicit activities in the greater Los Angeles area. Night Moves is a semi-hidden gem that influenced many modern filmmakers with its lived in aesthetics and natural look. As the 35mm Gods look upon us favourably, this is indeed a unique chance to experience this great flick on the big screen. English language without subtitles.
