Storyline

Artificial Intelligence fuels both our dreams and our nightmares. While tech giants promise a new era of human progress, In the Belly of AI lifts the veil on what really happens behind the scenes: vast data centers encroaching on natural landscapes and drying up rivers, and millions of invisible workers around the globe preparing the data that feeds Big Tech’s algorithms, often at the cost of their mental and emotional health.

The film follows this “hidden workforce” and the environmental toll of AI, questioning whether they are simply collateral damage of the “longtermism” ideology popular in Silicon Valley. By blending investigative storytelling with on-the-ground testimonies, In the Belly of AI reveals the darker side of technological progress and asks who really pays the price for our digital convenience.
