Hoezo in KINO

The legendary Japanese Toho Studios released a back-to-basics reboot of its favourite 80 meter radioactive sea lizard, back in 2023 and the tiny FX team won an Academy Award for its tactile and grounded work. Minus One returns to the vintage post-WWII era for a stunning reincarnation of this epic monster story, where original miniatures combined with modern special FX serve a great story of human tragedy and ingenuity in a war-ravaged society clambering to rebuild. Now this is how you reboot a franchise! With the sequel incoming, make sure to check this one out. Japanese language with English subtitles.
