Claudia Weill’s energetic shoestring budget indie about a young photographer finding her way in New York has been an inspiration to many. From Greta Gerwig’s Hannah to Lena Dunham’s Girls (Weill even directed an episode of the HBO hit in 2013), this casual and authentic piece of hangout cinema set a template for later generations with its natural flowing dialogue and lived-in locations, presented in a great digital restoration and one of our personal favorite discoveries for this retrospective. English language without subtitles.
