Finite: The Climate of Change

Hoezo in KINO

Over the last year in the Netherlands we witnessed people chaining themselves to private jets, students occupying their universities and the ever growing A12 blockades of Extinction Rebellion. On the eve of an upcoming wave of university occupations, KINO is collaborating with student activists to provide a special screening of Finite: The Climate of Change, a film that is an emotionally raw and authentic insider’s view of the world of direct action. Screened for the first time in The Netherlands, Finite chronicles the people on the frontlines in the fight for climate justice in Europe. A documentary that is roaring with the rage and hope needed in our age of crisis. English language without subtitles.

Storyline

In Germany, concerned citizens step forward to save an ancient forest from one of Europe’s biggest coal mines. They form an unlikely alliance with a frustrated community in rural England who are forced into action to protect their homes from a new opencast coal mine. Finite: The Climate of Change is an insider’s view of the world of direct action; a raw, authentic and emotional insight into the David and Goliath battle between front line communities, activists and fossil fuel corporations.
