Aging hoodlum Carlito Brigante, fresh out of the slammer, desperately attempts to stay on the straight and narrow while he scrambles for enough cash to leave his old life behind. Pacino is already thoroughly into his 90’s “Wohaa!” phase but provides a measured performance here that – maybe truly for the last time – shows his versatility as one of the greatest actors of his generation.
