Art of the Heist Classic

The Silent Partner (1978)

Hoezo in KINO

“I don’t know how you managed to pull it off. I guess you’re gonna have to tell me one of these days.” This Canadian thriller with a killer cast including Elliot Gould, Susannah York and a particularly creepy Christopher Plummer, is not that well known and that’s a darn shame. This clever caper about a shy bank teller that anticipates a robbery to steal the money for himself to then be hounded by the psychopathic doublecrossed robber, should be a classic. If only it would have been made in the United States instead of its northerly neighbour… We love this film and are proud to screen it for the first time since its Dutch premiere back in 1979. English language without subtitles.
