Special a 35mm presentation Cameron on Film

The Terminator (1984): a 35mm presentation

Hoezo in KINO

James Cameron was already well versed in the intricacies of VFX and the mechanics of filmmaking when he wrote the script for The Terminator. He worked as a matte painting artist and model builder on Star Wars and John Carpenter’s Escape from New York but the meticulous craftsman really wanted to direct his own feature. He sold his first script, this lean, mean ’tech-noir’ thriller about a killer robot from the future for the symbolic price of one dollar with the condition he would be in the director’s chair himself. The result is a genre classic that made Schwarzenegger the most quoted man of the 80’s and started the illustrious career of Cameron himself. English language without subtitles.
